These symptoms include itching, leucorrhoea (whitish vaginal discharge), redness and a feeling of swelling of the vaginal and glans mucosa, and burning when urinating.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003e Consult your doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse after 7 days of treatment.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eWhat you need to know before taking the medicine\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cb\u003eDo not use CANDAZOL\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e - if you are allergic to clotrimazole or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eWarnings and precautions\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003eTalk to your doctor or pharmacist before using CANDAZOL if:\u003cbr\u003e - you have suffered from the same symptoms less than 2 months ago\u003cbr\u003e - you have fever, lower abdominal pain, back pain, foul-smsmelling vaginal discharge, nausea, vaginal bleeding and\/or shoulder pain.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003e The use, especially prolonged, of topical products (applied to the skin) can cause sensitisation phenomena (acquisition of increased sensitivity); in this case it is necessary to interrupt the treatment and consult your doctor or pharmacist.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003e Avoid contact with eyes. Do not swallow.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003e It is preferable to start and end the treatment during the intermenstrual period.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003e During the use of this medicine, avoid vaginal intercourse, as the infection could be transmitted to your partner.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003e Furthermore, in order to avoid re-infection, particularly in the presence of Candida vulvitis or balanitis, local treatment of the partner is recommended.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003e While being treated with CANDAZOL, do not use tampons, vaginal douches, spermicides or other vaginal products.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003e During treatment with CANDAZOL, the effectiveness and safety of latex products, such as condoms and diaphragms, may be reduced.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eChildren and adolescents\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e This medicine should not be used by children under 12 years of age.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003ePossible side effects\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003eLike all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.\u003cbr\u003e With the use of this medicine, the following side effects may occur with unknown frequency (frequency cannot be estimated from the available data):\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003e - anaphylactic reaction (severe allergic reaction),\u003cbr\u003e - angioedema (swelling of the face, lips, mouth, tongue and throat which may cause breathing and swallowing problems),\u003cbr\u003e - hypersensitivity (allergy),\u003cbr\u003e - syncope (fainting),\u003cbr\u003e - hypotension (low blood pressure),\u003cbr\u003e - dyspnoea (difficulty breathing),\u003cbr\u003e - abdominal pain,\u003cbr\u003e - nausea,\u003cbr\u003e - skin rash,\u003cbr\u003e - urticaria (hives),\u003cbr\u003e - exfoliation in the genital area,\u003cbr\u003e - vaginal discharge,\u003cbr\u003e - vaginal bleeding,\u003cbr\u003e - discomfort in the genital area,\u003cbr\u003e - erythema (redness) in the genital area,\u003cbr\u003e - burning in the genital area,\u003cbr\u003e - itching in the genital area,\u003cbr\u003e - pain in the genital area,\u003cbr\u003e - irritation, oedema (fluid accumulation) and pain at the application site.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eReporting of side effects\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e If you get any side effects, including those not listed in this leaflet, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
