This medicine relieves the symptoms caused by this allergy, such as sneezing, nasal itching, runny or blocked nose; itching and irritation of the eyes (redness and watering).\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eWhat you need to know before taking the medicine\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cb\u003eDo not take Fexallegra\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e - if you are allergic to fexofenadine hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eWarnings and precautions\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003eTalk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Fexallegra.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003e Pay particular attention if you:\u003cbr\u003e - suffer from liver or kidney disorders; in particular, if you suffer from severe kidney disorders (severe renal failure) you can only take the medicine under medical supervision;\u003cbr\u003e - suffer or have suffered from heart or blood circulation diseases, as this type of medicine can cause an accelerated or irregular heartbeat;\u003cbr\u003e - are elderly; - are pregnant or breastfeeding, as you should consult your doctor (see \"Pregnancy and breastfeeding\").\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eChildren and adolescents\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e This medicine should not be taken by children under 12 years of age (see \"Use in children and adolescents\").\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003ePossible side effects\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003eLike all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003e Inform your doctor immediately and stop treatment with Fexallegra if you experience:\u003cbr\u003e • swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat and difficulty breathing, as these signs may be indicative of a severe allergic reaction.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003e The following side effects have been reported in clinical studies conducted on adults and with a similar frequency to that observed in patients who did not receive the drug (placebo):\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eCommon (may affect up to 1 in 10 people)\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e • headache,\u003cbr\u003e • drowsiness,\u003cbr\u003e • feeling unwell (nausea),\u003cbr\u003e • dizziness.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eUncommon (may affect up to 1 in 100 people)\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e • fatigue.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003e The following side effects have been reported during post-marketing surveillance:\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eFrequency not known (frequency cannot be estimated from the available data)\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e • difficulty falling asleep (insomnia),\u003cbr\u003e • sleep disturbances,\u003cbr\u003e • nightmares,\u003cbr\u003e • nervousness,\u003cbr\u003e • accelerated or irregular heartbeat,\u003cbr\u003e • diarrhoea,\u003cbr\u003e • skin abnormalities (rash), including with small bumps and itching (urticaria),\u003cbr\u003e • severe allergic reactions that may cause swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat and difficulty breathing.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003e  \u003cb\u003eReporting of side effects\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e If you get any side effects, including any not listed in this leaflet, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
