{"product_id":"lomexin-6cps-molli-vag-200mg","title":"LOMEXIN*6 SOFT VAG CAPS 200MG","description":"\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eLomexin 2% vaginal cream\u003cbr\u003e Lomexin 200 mg vaginal soft capsules\u003cbr\u003e Lomexin 600 mg vaginal soft capsules\u003cbr\u003e Lomexin 0.2% vaginal solution\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e fenticonazole nitrate\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eWhat it is and what it is used for\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003eLomexin contains the active ingredient fenticonazole nitrate.\u003cbr\u003e It belongs to a group of medicines called \"antimicrobial and antiseptic gynaecological drugs\".\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Lomexin is used for the treatment of mucous membrane infections of the genital organs caused by a fungus called \u003cem\u003eCandida\u003c\/em\u003e, such as:\u003cbr\u003e - inflammation of the vulva and vagina (vulvovaginitis)\u003cbr\u003e - inflammation of the cervix (cervicitis)\u003cbr\u003e - increased vaginal discharge due to infections (infectious fluor).\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Consult your doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse after a short period of treatment.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eWhat you need to know before taking the medicine\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cb\u003eDo not use Lomexin\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e - if you are allergic to fenticonazole or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in paragraph 6).\u003cbr\u003e - Lomexin 600 mg vaginal soft capsules contain soy lecithin. If you are allergic to peanuts or soy, do not use this medicine.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eWarnings and precautions\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003eConsult your doctor or pharmacist if:\u003cbr\u003e- You are pregnant or breastfeeding (see paragraph “Pregnancy, breastfeeding and fertility”).\u003cbr\u003e- You are using a latex \"barrier\" contraceptive method (see paragraph “Other medicines and Lomexin”). Therefore, you should use alternative precautions while using this product.\u003cbr\u003e- You are using spermicides, intravaginal washes or other vaginal products (see paragraph “Other medicines and Lomexin”).\u003cbr\u003e- You experience any irritation or sensitivity to the medicine.\u003cbr\u003e- Your symptoms do not reduce within a week or in case of severe or recurring symptoms.\u003cbr\u003e- Your partner is also infected.\u003cbr\u003e- You have had more than two previous infections in the last 6 months.\u003cbr\u003e- You or your partner have ever had a sexually transmitted disease.\u003cbr\u003e- You have ever had hypersensitivity to imidazoles or other vaginal antifungal products.\u003cbr\u003e- You are over 60 years old.\u003cbr\u003e- You have any of the following symptoms:\u003cbr\u003e • Abnormal or irregular vaginal bleeding.\u003cbr\u003e • Traces of blood in vaginal discharge.\u003cbr\u003e • Sores, ulcers or blisters on the vulva or vagina.\u003cbr\u003e • Lower abdominal pain or difficulty urinating (dysuria).\u003cbr\u003e • Adverse effects such as redness, itching or rash associated with the treatment.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Lomexin vaginal cream: avoid contact with eyes.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eChildren and adolescents\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Lomexin is not recommended for children under 16 years of age.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003ePossible side effects\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003eLike all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eWhen the medicine is inserted into the vagina, a slight burning sensation may occur, which will disappear quickly. When used as recommended, Lomexin is only slightly absorbed and no side effects affecting the entire body (systemic effects) are reported.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e The use of topical medicines, especially if prolonged, can cause sensitisation (see paragraph “Warnings and precautions”).\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe following side effects have been reported with Lomexin:\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cb\u003eVery rare (may affect up to 1 in 10,000 people):\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e• vulvovaginal burning sensation\u003cbr\u003e• skin redness (erythema), itching and skin rash.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cb\u003eFrequency not known:\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e• hypersensitivity at the application site.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eReporting of side effects\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e If you get any side effects, including any not listed in this leaflet, tell your doctor or pharmacist.
