Isolated cases of severe allergic reactions characterized by weakness, collapse or difficulty breathing and general malaise have been reported.\u003cbr\u003eIf you experience any of these symptoms, stop taking Paxabel and contact your doctor immediately.\u003cbr\u003eThis medicine can sometimes cause diarrhea, check with your doctor or pharmacist before taking the medicine if:\u003cbr\u003e- you suffer from impaired liver or kidney function;\u003cbr\u003e- you are taking diuretics (water pills) or are elderly because there is a risk of a reduction in sodium (salt) or potassium in the blood.\u003cbr\u003eBefore taking PAXABEL, consult your doctor or pharmacist if you know you have a swallowing disorder.\u003cbr\u003eIf you have difficulty swallowing, avoid mixing Paxabel and starch-based food thickeners.
