{"product_id":"zerinodek-decong-spray-10ml0-1","title":"ZERINODEK DECONG*SPRAY 10ML0,1","description":"\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eZerinoDek Nasal Decongestant 1 mg\/ml nasal spray, solution\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003eXylometazoline hydrochloride\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eWhat it is and what it is used for\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003eZerinoDek Nasal Decongestant contains xylometazoline, which has decongestant properties and is indicated for the treatment of rhinitis, common cold, and sinusitis.\u003cbr\u003ePlease consult your doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse after 4 days of treatment.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eWhat you need to know before taking the medicine\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cb\u003eDo not use ZerinoDek Nasal Decongestant\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e- if you are allergic to xylometazoline hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in paragraph 6);\u003cbr\u003e- if you suffer from severe heart conditions (e.g., long QT syndrome) and severe hypertension (high blood pressure);\u003cbr\u003e- if you have glaucoma, especially closed-angle glaucoma (a condition characterised by increased pressure in the eye);\u003cbr\u003e- if you suffer from prostatic hypertrophy (enlargement of the prostate) and hyperthyroidism (increased thyroid activity);\u003cbr\u003e- if you have undergone brain surgery via the nasal route;\u003cbr\u003e- during and within two weeks after therapy with antidepressant medicines (see “Other medicines and ZerinoDek Nasal Decongestant”);\u003cbr\u003e- if the child to be treated is under 12 years of age.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eWarnings and precautions\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003eConsult your doctor or pharmacist before using ZerinoDek Nasal Decongestant.\u003cbr\u003eUse this medicine only after consulting your doctor:\u003cbr\u003e- if you suffer from hypertension (high blood pressure), even if not severe;\u003cbr\u003e- if you suffer from diabetes;\u003cbr\u003e- if you have heart problems;\u003cbr\u003e- if you have a tumour of the adrenal glands, called pheochromocytoma;\u003cbr\u003e- if you are elderly, due to the risk of urinary retention (difficulty urinating).\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe use, especially if prolonged, of products applied to the mucous membranes (for local use) can give rise to allergic phenomena (sensitisation) and produce undesirable effects; in this case, stop the treatment and consult your doctor.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eDo not use for prolonged treatments as nasal congestion might worsen. Repeated use of the medicine for long periods can be harmful. Prolonged use can alter the normal function of the nasal mucosa and nasal cavities (paranasal sinuses), also inducing addiction (reduced efficacy) to the medicine.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eBenzalkonium chloride (BAC), contained as a preservative in this medicine, is irritating and can cause local skin reactions; especially when used for long periods, it can cause swelling of the nasal mucosa. If you suspect such a reaction (persistent nasal congestion), you should consult your doctor to choose another medicine (see ZerinoDek Nasal Decongestant contains benzalkonium chloride).\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003ePossible side effects\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003eLike all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe side effects associated with ZerinoDek Nasal Decongestant are listed below:\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cb\u003eUncommon frequency (may affect up to 1 in 100 people):\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003eNosebleed (epistaxis).\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cb\u003eFrequency not known (frequency cannot be estimated from the available data):\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003eallergic reactions (hypersensitivity),\u003cbr\u003eheadache (cephalalgia),\u003cbr\u003edifficulty sleeping (insomnia),\u003cbr\u003ehigh blood pressure (hypertension),\u003cbr\u003eaccelerated heart rate (tachycardia),\u003cbr\u003eperception of heartbeat (palpitations),\u003cbr\u003ereduced heart rate (bradycardia),\u003cbr\u003enasal discomfort,\u003cbr\u003enasal congestion,\u003cbr\u003enausea,\u003cbr\u003edifficulty urinating (micturition disorder).\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eAdhering to the instructions in the package leaflet reduces the risk of side effects.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cb\u003eReporting of side effects\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003eIf you get any side effects, including any not listed in this leaflet, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
