Description
Single-use medical device useful for the treatment of constipation.
Laxative medical device which, through osmotic action, naturally regulates the intestine. It is not absorbed or fermented in the intestine, does not irritate the mucosa, and is eliminated with feces. DEPUROSIO is particularly indicated in cases of chronic and occasional constipation and irregular bowels. In fact, thanks to its affinity for water, DEPUROSIO softens the stool, facilitating evacuation without causing cramps, abdominal pain, or urgent situations. Its effectiveness does not decrease over time.

Ingredients
Each sachet contains 13.125 g of macrogol 3350. Excipients: silicon dioxide, flavor, sodium saccharin.

Gluten and lactose free.

How to use
Adults, elderly, and children from 12 years of age: 1 full-dose sachet (13.3 g) 1-2 times a day. If necessary, the dose can be increased up to a maximum of 3 sachets per day. Open the sachet and dilute the contents in 125 ml of still water (about 1 glass).

Warnings
Do not take DEPUROSIO in case of:
- intestinal stenosis;
- intestinal perforation;
- inflammatory bowel diseases (e.g., Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis).
Do not take in case of intestinal obstruction.
There is no experience with use during pregnancy and breastfeeding, so take DEPUROSIO only when absolutely necessary, on medical advice. In patients with renal insufficiency, no dosage adjustment is necessary.
The duration of treatment with DEPUROSIO should not exceed 2 weeks. If necessary, treatment can be repeated. Prolonged use may be necessary in cases of refractory and/or chronic constipation. Such constipation can be caused by pain medications (opioids) and Parkinson's disease treatments (anticholinergics), or occur in cases of diseases such as multiple sclerosis or Parkinson's disease which can cause refractory constipation.
At doses necessary to achieve a therapeutic effect, no side effects have ever been reported. Sometimes gastrointestinal disorders, borborygmi, abdominal pain, nausea, and mild diarrhea (especially at the beginning) may occur.
Rarely, hypersensitivity reactions (rash, urticaria) may occur. Consult your doctor or pharmacist if any adverse reactions occur, even if not listed. If symptoms persist, consult your doctor. If you forget to take a dose, do not take a double dose, but wait and take the next one.
In case of overdose, the following effects may occur: severe pain, abdominal distension, diarrhea, and vomiting which could cause an electrolyte imbalance. If adverse reactions occur, contact your doctor immediately.
To date, no interactions with medications are known, but it is advisable to delay taking the product by at least 2 hours from the administration of orally taken medications or any other medications (including homeopathic) or food supplements, due to the osmotic power of Macrogol and the increased speed of gastrointestinal transit, which can negatively affect their effectiveness. In any case, consult your doctor before taking DEPUROSIO if you are undergoing other therapies.
Do not use in case of damaged sachets. Keep out of reach of children.
Do not use the product below 12 years of age. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should take DEPUROSIO only after consulting a doctor. It is recommended not to exceed the suggested quantities, as higher doses may cause unexpected side effects. Do not use DEPUROSIO for more than 30 consecutive days; if symptoms persist, consult a doctor. Do not take in case of intolerances to the product. Do not take in case of known hypersensitivity to the components and to polyethylene glycol. Each sachet is for single use and should be opened only at the time of use.
Do not take after the expiration date printed on the package. The expiration date refers to the product in its intact container at the time of storage.

Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, away from light, humidity, direct heat sources, at a temperature below 25°C.
Validity with intact packaging: 36 months.
