DI MILL 0.1 mg/ml eye drops, solution
Benzalkonium chloride

What it is and what it is used for
DI MILL is an eye drop containing benzalkonium chloride, a disinfectant (antibacterial).
This medicine is used to disinfect the eye when it is irritated by dust, smoke, or smog.

Consult your doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse.

What you need to know before taking the medicine
Do not use DI MILL
- if you are allergic to the active ingredient or to any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6);
- in children under 12 years of age.

Warnings and precautions
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using DI MILL.

Do not use for prolonged treatments; consult your doctor if you do not notice improvements after a few days of treatment.
Avoid application if you have problems with a part of the eye called the "cornea" (corneal inflammations, wounds, or abrasions).

The use, especially if prolonged, of products for local (topical) use can give rise to sensitization phenomena (excessive reaction of the body to foreign substances with which it has come into contact).
In this case, stop the treatment and consult your doctor to start suitable therapy.

Accidental ingestion or inhalation of some disinfectants can have serious, sometimes fatal, consequences (see section 3 "If you use more DI MILL than you should"). In case of accidental ingestion, consult a doctor immediately.

The product is for external use only and therefore must not be ingested.

The active ingredient of this medicine, benzalkonium chloride, can cause eye irritation.

Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

This medicine may cause a burning sensation and eye irritation (intolerance). These symptoms should not be a concern, as they are without consequences.

Reporting of side effects
If you get any side effects, including any not listed in this leaflet, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. You can also report side effects directly via the national reporting system at: https://www.aifa.gov.it/content/segnalazionireazioni-avverse.
