Indications:
Broad-spectrum disinfectant for skin disinfection and hygiene in areas at risk of infection.
Antiseptic-antibacterial to be used in the following cases:
- preparation of the surgical field;
- skin disinfection before injection therapy;
- use as an antiseptic-microbicide in medical clinics.

Instructions for use:
Use undiluted or diluted up to 50%. Apply directly to the affected area with a cotton swab or gauze pad.

Characteristics:
The spectrum of action is very broad and includes Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, acid and acid-fast bacteria, fungi (including Candida), protozoa, viruses and spores.
Its activity is maintained in the presence of organic materials. No resistance phenomena are known.
PVP-I contains 10% free available iodine, which is gradually released from the complex upon contact with the substrate. Antisepsis is exerted by free iodine with a direct and persistent oxidizing action.
Clear, dark-colored solution, foams when shaken. Characteristic iodine odor; pH 4.5 ± 0.5, soluble in water in all proportions. Specific gravity: 1.00-1.05.
Medical-Surgical Device.
The product is well tolerated locally even after treatments lasting several days.
Available in 125, 250, 500, 1000, 5000 ml polyethylene bottles.

Toxicity:
Tests on healthy skin: patch tests did not cause any reaction after 96 hours of contact; repeated tests after 2 weeks did not show any intolerance phenomena even after a further 48 hours of contact.
Absence of systemic effects, which demonstrates that the product has no systemic action and therefore acts exclusively locally.

Contraindications:
Iodine allergy.

Warnings:
For external use only, do not ingest.
Keep out of reach of children.
Do not use on broken skin and mucous membranes.
Avoid contact with eyes. In case of contact, rinse thoroughly with water.
Do not use simultaneously with soaps or solutions/ointments containing mercury.
In case of accident or discomfort, consult a doctor (if possible, show the label).
Do not dispose of the container in the environment after use.
Store the product in its original packaging in a cool, clean and dry environment, away from high heat sources and not exposed to direct sunlight. Keep the container tightly closed and away from food, feed and beverages. Do not reuse the container.
The validity period (36 months) refers to the product in its intact container and correctly stored.
Dispose of in accordance with local wastewater regulations.

Components:
100 ml of solution contain:
polyvinylpyrrolidone iodine g. 10.0 (equivalent to 1.0% iodine); co-formulated products; purified water q.s. to 100ml.
