DUOFILM 16.7% + 15% collodion
Salicylic acid + lactic acid
What it is and what it is used for
DUOFILM contains the active ingredients salicylic acid and lactic acid. Salicylic acid applied topically acts on the superficial layer of the skin, causing the loss of the upper layer of the skin (desquamation). Lactic acid reduces the skin thickening process.
DUOFILM is a medicine used for the topical treatment of corns, calluses, and warts.
Consult your doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse after 2 weeks of treatment for corns and calluses, or after 3 months for warts.
What you need to know before taking the medicine
Do not use DUOFILM:
• if you are allergic to salicylic acid, lactic acid or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6);
• if the wart, corn, callus or surrounding skin is red, irritated, broken/wounded or infected;
• on moles, birthmarks or warts with hair, surrounded by red borders or of unusual color;
• on warts located on the face, genitals or mucous membranes such as those of the eyes, nose and mouth.
Warnings and precautions

• avoid accidental contact with eyes, nose, mouth or vagina (mucous membranes) because it can cause irritation. In case of contact with mucous membranes or open wounds, rinse immediately and thoroughly with water, remove the film of medicine that forms and continue rinsing with water for at least fifteen minutes;
• do not use the medicine on healthy skin around the wart, corn or callus, as this may cause irritation. In case of excessive skin irritation, stop treatment and consult your doctor or pharmacist;
• do not use DUOFILM on warts covering a body area larger than 5 cm2 (approximately the size of a postage stamp);
• if you have diabetes, if you have circulatory problems (circulatory insufficiency), if you have poor sensation (nerve damage) in your hands or feet, consult your doctor or pharmacist before using DUOFILM;
