Description
A tear substitute based on cross-linked sodium hyaluronate and carboxymethyl beta-glucan, preservative-free, which protects, moisturizes, and lubricates the ocular surface.
Cross-linked sodium hyaluronate, thanks to its cross-linked structure, ensures greater hydration and viscoelasticity, high stability of the tear film, and remains on the ocular surface for a long time.
Carboxymethyl beta-glucan, in addition to increasing the lubricating capacity of the product, counteracts oxidative stress from free radicals and aids in the reorganization of corneal cells.
The OSD (Ophthalmic Squeeze Dispenser) technology, a new drop delivery system, ensures the absolute sterility of the product without the use of preservatives.
Elastar Ophthalmic Solution is indicated for the treatment of symptoms (dry eyes, foreign body sensation, etc.) associated with:
- dry eyes;
- mechanical stress: contact lens use, surgical procedures, etc.;
- systemic pathologies: Sjogren's syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis, liver diseases, etc.;
- hormonal changes: menopause, hormone replacement therapies, etc.;
- environmental stress: air conditioning, cigarette smoke, wind, etc.;
- visual stress: use of computer terminals;
- use of medications: antidepressants, beta-blockers, prostaglandins, etc.
The product can be used by contact lens wearers.

Directions for use
It is not necessary to remove contact lenses before using Elastar Ophthalmic Solution.
Wash your hands thoroughly before using the product. Instill 1-2 drops into each eye 2-3 times a day or as directed by your doctor. Be careful not to let the tip of the bottle come into contact with the eye.

Components
Cross-linked sodium hyaluronate 0.15%, carboxymethyl beta-glucan 0.3%, isotonic buffered solution pH 7.2.

Warnings
In case of adverse reactions, discontinue use of the product and consult your doctor.
For ophthalmic use, do not ingest.
Do not use the product if the package is not intact.
Do not use the product after the expiry date shown on the package.
Do not use the product if you have a known hypersensitivity to the components of the product.
Keep out of sight and reach of children.

Storage
Do not use the product more than 90 days after opening.
Close the bottle tightly after use, store at room temperature and away from heat sources.
Shelf life after opening: 3 months.
Shelf life of unopened packaging: 24 months.
