elmex Junior toothpaste for children aged 6 to 12, specifically designed for the particular needs during the mixed dentition period. New permanent teeth, which begin to erupt around the age of six, are particularly susceptible to cavities because the enamel is initially still porous and relatively soft. A higher fluoride concentration promotes the tooth hardening process, thereby increasing the teeth's resistance to acid attacks and the resulting risk of cavities. Thanks to the specific characteristics of the amine fluorides contained in the toothpaste, cavity protection is ensured even for several hours after brushing. The mild taste encourages children to switch from children's toothpaste, which has a lower fluoride content, to a product with a fluoride concentration suitable for their age.
