elmex Junior toothpaste for children aged 6 to 12, specifically designed for the particular needs during the transition to permanent teeth. New permanent teeth, which begin to emerge around six years of age, are particularly susceptible to decay because their enamel is initially porous and relatively soft. A higher concentration of fluoride promotes the hardening process of the teeth, thereby increasing their resistance to acid attacks and the consequent risk of cavities. Thanks to the specific properties of the amine fluorides contained in the toothpaste, protection against cavities is ensured for several hours after brushing. The mild taste encourages children to switch from children's toothpaste, which has a lower fluoride content, to a product with a fluoride concentration suitable for their age.
