Description
A gentle, light-textured moisturizing cream for daily use on dry and very dry skin. It is enriched with two natural skin moisturizing agents, Urea and Lactate, which bind water, thus immediately hydrating dry facial skin, reducing skin tension for smooth and soft skin to the touch. Skin roughness is also caused by lack of hydration, Eucerin 5% Smoothing Face Cream reduces it by maintaining hydration. It is ideal for use under makeup or as an aftershave.
Clinical Studies
The effectiveness of Eucerin 5% Urea Smoothing Face Cream, applied twice daily to the inner forearm, was tested on 24 subjects with healthy skin. Hydration and skin roughness were evaluated on basic parameters, both after 1 and 2 weeks of treatment, and after 3 and 7 days from the last application.
Key Findings
Significant increase in skin hydration after week 1, compared to untreated skin. Gradual decrease in hydration after discontinuation of treatment.
Significant reduction in skin roughness after week 1, compared to untreated skin. The reduction in skin roughness was maintained throughout the treatment period.
No side effects were noted.
