EUCLORINA 2.5 g Soluble Powder
Chloramine

What it is and what it is used for
EUCLORINA contains the active ingredient chloramine, belonging to the class of medicines known as antiseptics and disinfectants. These medicines work by slowing or preventing the growth of bacteria.

EUCLORINA 2.5 g soluble powder is used for washes and compresses in:
• skin disinfection and dressing of small superficial wounds, abrasions, mild pressure ulcers (skin lesions affecting body parts subjected to prolonged pressure).
• disinfection of external genitalia.

Consult your doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse.

What you need to know before taking the medicine
Do not use EUCLORINA
- if you are allergic to chloramine, to similar substances, or to any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in paragraph 6).

Warnings and precautions
Consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking EUCLORINA.

Do not swallow. This medicine is for external use only.
Accidental ingestion or inhalation of some disinfectants can have serious, sometimes fatal, consequences.
The use, especially if prolonged, of topical products can give rise to sensitisation phenomena (excessive reaction of the organism to foreign substances with which it has come into contact); in this case, discontinue treatment and consult your doctor to establish appropriate therapy. Do not use for prolonged treatments: after a short period of treatment without appreciable results, consult your doctor.

Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Intolerance (burning or irritation) may occur in some cases, which does not require a change in treatment as these side effects are generally transient. However, if they occur, it is advisable to consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Adhering to the instructions in the package leaflet reduces the risk of side effects.

Reporting side effects
If you get any side effects, including any not listed in this leaflet, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. You can also report side effects directly via the national reporting system at: https://www.aifa.gov.it/content/segnalazionireazioni-avverse.
By reporting side effects, you can help provide more information on the safety of this medicine.
