Description
Dietary supplement based on microencapsulated pyrophosphate iron (SunActive Fe), folic acid, vitamin C, and copper, useful in cases of reduced intake or increased need for these nutrients. Iron contributes to the normal formation of red blood cells and hemoglobin. Folic acid contributes to normal hematopoiesis and the growth of maternal tissues during pregnancy. In women of childbearing age, supplementary intake of folic acid increases maternal folate status. Low maternal folate status is a risk factor for the development of neural tube defects in the fetus. Copper contributes to the normal transport of iron in the body, and finally, vitamin C increases iron absorption. Due to its components, the product is indicated to supplement the diet during pregnancy. Folisid Forte is a dietary supplement useful in cases where iron supplementation is necessary, even for long periods, according to medical advice.

SunActive Fe (ferric pyrophosphate; emulsifier: sunflower lecithin, sodium chloride, maltodextrin); bulking agent: microcrystalline cellulose; protected vitamin C 97.5% (L-ascorbic acid); coating agent: ethylcellulose); anti-caking agents: polyvinylpyrrolidone, mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids; coating agents: polydextrose, polyvinyl carbonate, polyethylene glycol; colorant: iron oxides and hydroxides; copper gluconate; anti-caking agents: magnesium salts of fatty acids, silicon dioxide; folic acid.

Instructions for use
It is recommended to take one tablet daily with plenty of water, preferably on an empty stomach or as directed by a physician. For optimal use of the product, medical advice is recommended.

Warnings
Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Keep out of reach of children under 3 years of age. Food supplements should not be considered a substitute for a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Do not take if you have known hypersensitivity to one or more components of the product. The beneficial effect on increasing maternal folate status is achieved with a daily supplementary intake of 400 mcg of folic acid for at least one month before and up to three months after conception. The development of neural tube defects in the fetus is due to multiple risk factors; intervention on one of these factors may or may not produce the indicated health effect.
