STERILE PARAFFIN GAUZE DRESSING

Indications:
- minor burns,
- skin graft donor and recipient sites,
- skin loss wounds, lacerations and abrasions,
- chronic leg ulcers.

Features:
Sterile paraffin tulle gras dressing, consisting of an open-weave gauze. The gauze threads are interwoven to minimise fraying if the dressing is cut to the desired shape. It has low adherence and allows free drainage of the wound, permitting exudate to pass to an absorbent secondary dressing. Jelonet is not medicated and is therefore ideal for use with local antiseptics or antibiotics. Available in various sizes, the largest of which is suitable for use in Burn Units. It is available in different packaging: single-application sachet dressing for aseptic technique; in metal tins, to facilitate application to large areas of the body, in cases where the entire tin needs to be used in a single application.
