Warnings and precautions
Consult your doctor before using Glycerol Alfasigma:

- if you intend to use Glycerol Alfasigma in children under twelve years of age
- if you are elderly or in poor health

- it is advisable to adjust your eating habits by supplementing your diet with more fiber and water during episodes of constipation
Abuse of laxatives (frequent or prolonged use or with excessive doses) can cause:
- persistent diarrhoea with consequent loss of water, mineral salts and other essential substances
- in more severe cases, dehydration or a severe decrease in blood potassium may occur, which can lead to heart, nerve or muscle dysfunction, especially if you are simultaneously taking heart medicines (digitalis), medicines to increase urine production (diuretics) or cortisone (anti-inflammatories)
- the need to progressively increase the dosage
