A food supplement containing Glucosamine Sulfate and Chondroitin Sulfate, physiological principles of our body present in articular cartilage. Glucosamine is naturally present in the human body and is used for the biosynthesis of hyaluronic acid in synovial fluid and proteoglycans in articular cartilage. Chondroitin Sulfate is one of the main components of cartilage where, bound to proteins, it forms proteoglycans, gelatinous-viscous substances that give cartilage its characteristic mechanical-elastic properties. In the presence of degenerative osteoarthritic conditions, a metabolic defect in the biosynthesis of Glucosamine and Chondroitin Sulfate, and thus of cartilaginous proteoglycans, occurs, resulting in progressive deterioration of joint function due to degeneration of the cartilage itself. The exogenous supply of Glucosamine Sulfate and Chondroitin Sulfate exerts a trophic action on articular cartilage, compensating for cartilage deficiency, stimulating the synthesis of proteoglycans, and thus allowing for a halt or slowing down of the joint degenerative process that underlies osteoarthritic diseases. Both Glucosamine Sulfate and Chondroitin Sulfate, considered separately, do not possess all the peculiar characteristics of a chondroprotector: this occurs instead if their effects are combined by administering them simultaneously.

Directions for use
It is recommended to take one sachet a day, preferably after main meals and as needed, dissolving the content in half a glass of water, stirring well and drinking immediately. It is also recommended to take the product for a period of not less than 6 weeks and to repeat the intake cycle every 2 months.

Warnings
Keep out of reach of children under three years of age. Do not take the product during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Food supplements are not intended as a substitute for a varied diet. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Do not consume after the best before date. The product contains traces of crustaceans. The product contains polyols, therefore excessive consumption may have a laxative effect.

Storage
Store in a cool (<25°C) and dry place, away from light and heat sources. The expiry date refers to the product in intact packaging and correctly stored.
