Description
Medical device.
Sterile aqueous hydrogel containing:
- polyvinyl alcohol, with lubricating, viscoelastic, mucoadhesive, protective action;
- dexpanthenol, which belongs to the class of B vitamins, a homolog of pantothenic acid, a vitamin tissue nutrient, epithelium protective;
- hexamidine diisethionate, polyhexanide hydrochloride and disodium edetate and other excipients, to be used on ocular tissues by instillation.
Thanks to the properties of its components, the device is effective as an adjuvant in the corneal re-epithelialization process, after stress caused by contact lenses, air conditioning, solar radiation, artificial lamps or video terminals. KERATOSEPT therefore stabilizes the tear film and protects the ocular surface in all cases of tear dysfunction, also present in patients subject to recurrent ocular infections.
It is perfectly transparent and colorless.
It is miscible with tear fluid in all proportions.
It has pH, viscosity, osmolarity values perfectly compatible with ocular tissues and tear fluid and therefore has a high degree of tolerability.

Instructions for use
Instill 1-2 drops of the device solution into the lower conjunctival sac of the eye, applying slight pressure on the body of the bottle. It is advisable to repeat the operation 2-3 or more times a day when necessary.

Components
Polyvinyl alcohol 1.25%, dexpanthenol 5%, hexamidine diisethionate 0.50%, polyhexanide hydrochloride 0.0001%, methylsulfonylmethane, disodium edetate, dibasic sodium phosphate, monobasic potassium phosphate, purified water.

Warnings
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Given the absence of quaternary ammonium salts, the device can also be used by wearers of soft and rigid contact lenses.
Do not touch the eye with the tip of the dropper.
Do not use in case of active eye infection.
Do not use simultaneously with other eye drops.
Do not use in case of known incompatibility with any component of the preparation.
Do not use the product after the expiry date indicated on the package.

Storage
Store at a temperature below 25 °C.
Shelf life with intact packaging: 36 months.
Shelf life after opening: 30 days.
