Humana AR EXPERT
Description
Food for special medical purposes for the dietary management of infants with gastroesophageal reflux with or without regurgitation.
From birth.
During the first year of a child's life, cases of confirmed gastroesophageal reflux disease may occur.
The backflow of stomach contents into the throat is referred to as gastroesophageal reflux and can lead to regurgitation. In this case, along with appropriate dietary treatment, it may be helpful to reduce portion sizes and increase meal frequency while keeping the baby as upright as possible.
For the management of gastroesophageal reflux with or without regurgitation, Humana AR formula uses a special corn starch which, during food preparation, increases its density, thus reducing the predisposition to reflux.
Humana AR is a complete formula with starch and high proportions of casein which, once it reaches the stomach, changes its structure, naturally increasing the viscosity of the milk.
Ingredients
Skimmed milk powder, lactose, vegetable oils (palm, rapeseed, sunflower), starch, palm kernel oil, fish oil, choline bitartrate, sodium chloride, Mortierella alpina oil, L-tryptophan, calcium salts of orthophosphoric acid, L-cystine, inositol, potassium chloride, potassium citrate, taurine, magnesium oxide, ferrous sulfate, L-carnitine, zinc sulfate, nicotinamide, calcium D-pantothenate, DL-alpha-tocopheryl acetate, sodium L-ascorbate, thiamine hydrochloride, cupric sulfate, riboflavin, pyridoxine hydrochloride, cholecalciferol, retinyl acetate, folic acid, potassium iodate, manganese sulfate, phytomenadione, sodium selenite, D-biotin, cyanocobalamin.

How to use
When preparing the milk, strictly follow the instructions for use.
Sterilize the bottle, teat, and ring before each use.
Prepare the milk before each meal and administer immediately.
Do not reuse leftover milk.
Improper preparation and use can harm the infant's health.
1) Boil water, let it cool to 70°C (or heat Humana Amorosa water to 70°C) and pour it into the bottle.
2) Add the required number of scoops, leveling the powder with the appropriate leveller. Use only the scoop included in the package.
3) Close the bottle and shake to dissolve the powder.
4) Cool under running water to approximately 37°C and check the temperature.
Do not heat in the microwave: risk of burns.
Humana AR is thickened with starch. For its administration, it is advisable to use a teat with a wider hole to facilitate the flow of the food.
The quantities of milk reported are indicative; the dosage may vary with the Pediatrician's advice, depending on the infant's needs.
Humana AR is reconstituted by adding one level, unpressed scoop of powder (approx. 4.3 g) for every 30 ml of water, preferably minimally mineralized water such as Humana Amorosa.
Warnings
Humana AR is suitable for use as the sole source of nutrition for the first 6 months of life and is suitable for feeding infants older than 6 months as part of a diversified complementary diet.
Do not administer parenterally.
Humana AR contains cow's milk proteins.
Do not use in case of allergy to cow's milk proteins, lactose intolerance, galactosemia, galactose and glucose malabsorption.
To be used under the supervision of a Pediatrician.
