Description
400 mg mucoadhesive tablet developed for the treatment of dry mouth (xerostomia) symptoms and complications, it stimulates saliva production and controls pH alterations, thus promoting oral mucosa healing.
Idroral is developed for prolonged activity; its components allow it to adhere to the oral mucosa and gradually dissolve. The tablet can be easily affixed to the oral mucosal surface, with a dissolution time of approximately two hours.
Idroral does not contain cariogenic substances.

Idroral can be used by patients with reduced, but not absent, salivation who need to counteract the symptoms associated with xerostomia, caused by pharmacological treatments, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, or specific pathologies.

Ingredients
L-carnosine (5.20%), Hibiscus sabdarrifa L. flos (2.00%), sorbitol (D-glucitol), amylopectin, carboxilate (carbomer), hydroxypropylcellulose, sodium carbonate, magnesium stearate, orange flavor, sucralose.

Directions for use
Idroral should be administered three times a day after meals and preferably at regular intervals.
Apply the tablet to the surface of the upper palate and hold it in place for 10/15 seconds to allow it to adhere. Do not drink or eat for at least 10 minutes to allow the tablet to set.
Keep the tablet in place without chewing it for the entire dissolution time.
If the tablet detaches from the mucosal surface, keep it in your mouth and allow it to dissolve without chewing.
The dissolution time of Idroral depends on the salivary flow; under normal flow conditions, it is approximately 2 hours.

Warnings
Idroral is contraindicated in case of known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.
Due to the presence of flavonoids in Hibiscus Sabdariffa L. Flos, medical advice is suggested before use during pregnancy.
Idroral does not contain substances known to interact with medicines.
Do not drink or eat for at least 10 minutes after application to allow the tablet to set.
Do not go to sleep with the tablet in your mouth.
Do not use the product if the packaging is damaged or the product has passed the expiration date indicated on the package.
Consult a doctor if no improvement is observed after 14 days of use.
Consult a doctor before using Idroral during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
The device does not affect the ability to drive. Idroral may not be effective in cases of complete inactivity of the salivary glands.
Keep out of reach of children.
The use of Idroral is not recommended in case of known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.

Store at room temperature, away from direct light and heat sources.
Shelf life unopened: 48 months.
