Iodofolin 2.0
A dietary supplement of iodine and folic acid. Iodine contributes to the normal growth of children, helps the regular cognitive and nervous system function, and supports the maintenance of thyroid hormone production and physiological thyroid function. Folic acid contributes to the growth of maternal tissues during pregnancy and normal hematopoiesis. In women of childbearing age, supplemental folic acid intake increases maternal folate status. Low maternal folate status is a risk factor for the development of neural tube defects in the fetus. Due to the amount of folic acid present, iodofolin 2.0 is indicated to supplement the diet of women of childbearing age and during pregnancy. Iodofolin 2.0 is also indicated for the integration of folic acid and iodine in the diet of adolescents between 11 and 17 years of age and during breastfeeding.
