What it is and what it is used for
Iridina Light is an antiseptic.

Iridina Light eye drops, solution is used for the disinfection of the ocular mucosa. It is an adjuvant in the treatment of eyes irritated by dust and smoke.

Consult your doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse after a short period of treatment.

What you need to know before taking the medicine
Do not use Iridina Light
- if you are allergic to benzalkonium chloride or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in paragraph 6);
- if you are allergic to other substances chemically closely related to benzalkonium chloride:
Consult your doctor even if such disorders have occurred in the past.

Warnings and precautions
Do not use the medicine for prolonged treatments. Consult your doctor if no appreciable results appear after a short period of time.
The use, especially prolonged, of products for local (topical) use can give rise to sensitisation phenomena. In this case, stop the treatment and consult your doctor to establish appropriate therapy.
The product is for external use only.

Do not use Iridina Light if you have problems with your cornea (corneal inflammation, wounds or abrasions).

Accidental ingestion or inhalation of some disinfectants can have serious, sometimes fatal, consequences. In case of accidental ingestion of the product, consult a doctor immediately.

Children
In children under 12 years of age, Iridina Light should only be used after consulting a doctor and assessing the risk/benefit ratio with them in their specific case.

Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

In some cases, intolerance (burning or irritation) may occur, which is harmless and does not require changes to the treatment.

Following the instructions in the package leaflet reduces the risk of side effects.
These side effects are generally temporary. However, if they occur, it is advisable to consult your doctor or pharmacist.
