What it is and what it is used for
Lenil Itch Relief is a topical antihistamine.

Lenil Itch Relief is a medicine for the local symptomatic treatment of insect bites and other localized skin irritations such as redness, burning, itching and sunburn.

What you need to know before taking the medicine
Lenil Itch Relief is contraindicated in cases of:
Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients or to other chemically related substances;
Eczema;
Weeping lesions.
Lenil Itch Relief is contraindicated in children under 2 years of age.

Warnings and precautions
Prolonged and improper use of the medicine may lead to allergic sensitization phenomena with consequent worsening of symptoms. Should this occur, treatment must be suspended, and a doctor consulted to institute appropriate therapy.
Since the application of Lenil Itch Relief may delay the healing process, the medicine should not be used for more than 3-4 consecutive days on lesions where this phenomenon is occurring. In the case of sunburn, apply the medicine and avoid further sun exposure to the irritated skin. If rashes, irritation and burning sensations appear, treatment should be suspended.

Possible side effects
Like all medicines, Lenil Itch Relief can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Lenil Itch Relief may cause allergic reactions. The use of promethazine has been associated with photosensitivity reactions.
Applying abundant amounts of the medicine to very large areas of the skin may cause drowsiness.
Adherence to the instructions in the package leaflet reduces the risk of side effects.
If any of the side effects get worse, or if you notice any side effects not listed in this leaflet, tell your doctor or pharmacist.
