Liberino

Sterile, ready-to-use physiological solution, indicated for the removal of mucus or secretions and restoration of the physiological state of the nose in infants, children, adults, and for aerosol therapy.
Liberino clears infants' noses of mucus that often obstructs them, thereby facilitating feeding and sleep for babies. It is indicated for the removal of mucus or secretions and restoration of the physiological state of the nose in children who are unable to clear it properly themselves.
It promotes the elimination of excessive nasal secretions and, with its concomitant moisturizing action, remedies dryness of the respiratory tract in both children and adults.
Liberino can also be used for external eye hygiene. In this case, use a cotton wool pad soaked with the contents of an ampoule to gently cleanse the outside of the eye, keeping the eyelids closed.

Components
Sodium chloride E.Ph. 45.0 mg, Water ppi 5.0 ml.

Directions for use
Infants: instill a few drops into the nostrils before feeding.
Children: instill a few drops into the nostrils 1-3 times a day.
Adults: 1-3 ampoules a day, distributing the contents between the two nostrils.
For infants, open the vial by twisting the top part. Keeping the baby's head tilted to the right, gently insert the nozzle of the vial just inside the left nostril. Squeeze the sides of the vial to release the required amount of liquid. Tilt the baby's head to the left and repeat the operation for the other nostril. Raise the baby's head and wipe away any liquid that comes out of the nostrils.
For children and adults, wait a few seconds before blowing the nose to allow the action.
Close the vial by pressing the top part onto the nozzle.
For aerosol therapy:
- as a fluidifier of secretions: follow the manufacturer's instructions for the aerosol device;
- to dilute medicines: follow the instructions on the packaging of the medicine to be diluted.

Warnings
Once opened and reclosed, after partial withdrawal of the contents, the ampoule must be returned to its box and stored in a cool place, used within 48 hours. If used with a medicine, follow the instructions in the medicine's package leaflet.
For use in aerosol therapy, do not use in patients suffering from severe respiratory or cardiovascular diseases.
It contains no preservatives and can therefore be used for long periods.

Storage
Store in a cool, dry place.
Shelf life in unopened packaging: 36 months.
Shelf life after first opening: 48 hours.
Do not disperse the container into the environment after use.
