Description
A medical device useful for the treatment of chronic or acute constipation or irritable bowel syndrome associated with constipation. Useful for counteracting excessive gastrointestinal gas production.
It works by softening the stool and promoting the regularization of intestinal function and motility through a combination of osmotic effects.
Macrogol 3350, thanks to its affinity with water, helps to absorb the water present in the lumen, increasing fecal volume, making stool softer and easier to expel without causing cramps, abdominal pain or emergency conditions.
The water-soluble fiber contained in psyllium creates a gel that hydrates the fecal mass.
Thanks to this capacity, Psyllium promotes the regularization of intestinal function, stimulating peristalsis, reducing intestinal transit time and aiding evacuation. The presence of simethicone in the formulation, thanks to its anti-foaming action, is effective in absorbing gastrointestinal gas associated with constipation.

Ingredients
Macrogol 3350, psyllium, simethicone; excipients: citric acid, sucralose, acesulfame K, flavorings (orange and safflower), silicon dioxide, sodium bicarbonate, sunflower lecithin.

Directions for use
Children aged 6 to 12 years: 1 sachet per day.
Adults and children over 12 years: 2 sachets per day.
Before using the product in children, it is advisable to consult a doctor.
Dissolve each sachet well in a full glass of water and drink immediately.
Since psyllium has the ability to create a gel, the product should be taken between meals with an adequate amount of water (at least one full glass of water, two glasses if possible), to prevent it from swelling in the throat and causing choking.
It is suggested to drink at least 2 liters of water per day for adults, and at least 1-1.5 liters per day for children and adolescents. If conditions persist after taking the product, consult a doctor.

Warnings
Do not take Lubrimil in case of:
- intestinal obstruction or stenosis;
- intestinal perforation;
- inflammatory bowel disease (e.g., Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis).
There is no experience on taking during pregnancy and breastfeeding, so it is advisable to take Lubrimil only on medical advice.
In patients with renal impairment, no dosage adjustment is necessary.
Use the product until symptoms resolve. Repeated use may be necessary in cases of refractory or chronic constipation.
This type of constipation can be caused by painkillers (opioids) and drugs for the treatment of Parkinson's disease (anticholinergics) or may occur in diseases such as multiple sclerosis or Parkinson's. In these cases, do not take Lubrimil for more than 30 consecutive days; if symptoms persist, consult a doctor.
Do not use the product below 6 years of age. Before using the product in children, it is advisable to consult a doctor. Keep out of reach of children. Do not take the product after the expiry date printed on the box.
Do not take in case of intolerance to the product. Do not take in case of known hypersensitivity to the components and to polyethylene glycol. Each sachet is for single use and should only be opened at the time of use. Simethicone may interfere with the effect of some reagents used in diagnostics, such as guaiac gum.

Storage
Store Lubrimil in a dry place away from direct heat or light sources. Open the sachet only at the time of use.
Keep the device at a temperature below 25°C.
The expiry date refers to the product in intact packaging and correctly stored.
