Description
Medical device based on Macrogol 4,000, indicated for the treatment of chronic constipation; treatment of fecal impaction; situations requiring complete colon cleansing; treatment of constipation with episodic or chronic colicky pain.
Macrostip is a laxative product that, thanks to its osmotic mechanism, regulates intestinal functions. It is not absorbed or fermented in the intestine, does not irritate the mucous membrane, and is eliminated in the feces in an unmodified form.
Indeed, thanks to its affinity for water, Macrostip softens the stool, facilitating evacuation. Its action does not diminish over time.

Instructions for use
Constipation
Adults and children over 8 years: 20-40 ml of solution per day to be taken in a 150 ml glass with water or fruit juice or tea, preferably as a single dose in the morning.
Children aged 4 to 7 years: 15-30 ml of solution per day to be taken in a 150 ml glass with water or fruit juice or tea, preferably as a single dose in the morning.
Children aged 2 to 3 years: 10-15 ml of solution per day to be taken in a 150 ml glass with water or fruit juice or tea, preferably as a single dose in the morning.
Infants from 6 months to 1 year (weighing more than 7 kg): 5-10 ml of solution per day to be taken in a 50 ml glass with water, preferably as a single dose in the morning.
After use, rinse the measuring cup with warm water and do not put it back in the box until it is completely dry.

Components
A 250 ml bottle contains Macrogol 4,000 125 g. Excipients: purified water, citric acid, flavor, sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate, sucralose.

Gluten-free, lactose-free, preservative-free, and flavor-free.

Warnings
Do not take Macrostip in case of known hypersensitivity to the raw materials, gastrointestinal perforation and/or obstruction, known gastric or intestinal lesions, severe inflammatory bowel diseases such as Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, and toxic megacolon.
It is advisable to take the product at least 2 hours apart from orally administered drugs, as the osmotic power of macrogol and the increased gastrointestinal transit speed induced can negatively affect their action. Consult your doctor before taking Macrostip if you are undergoing other therapies. Macrostip may potentially interact if used with starch-based food thickeners. The macrogol ingredient counteracts the thickening effect of starch, thereby liquefying preparations that must remain thick for people with swallowing difficulties.
During its intake, side effects such as indigestion, stomach ache or rumbling, bloating, flatulence, nausea, vomiting, anal irritation, and mild diarrhea may occur. These effects improve by reducing the dose. In case of allergic reactions, stop taking the product and contact your doctor.
Keep out of reach and sight of children. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, consult your doctor before taking the product. Use in children under 12 years of age should preferably be under medical supervision. Do not use Macrostip for more than 30 consecutive days; if symptoms persist, consult your doctor. Avoid contact with eyes. Do not use beyond the expiry date. The treatment of fecal impaction requires prior medical advice.

Storage
Store tightly closed, in a cool, dry place away from light and heat.
The expiry date refers to the product in intact packaging, correctly stored.
Do not use beyond the expiry date or if the packaging is open or damaged.
