MAG2 2.25 g effervescent tablets
Magnesium pidolate

What it is and what it is used for
MAG2 is an oral medicine that contains magnesium pidolate as an active ingredient.
This medicine is used to treat symptoms of magnesium deficiency, such as: fatigue, muscle weakness and cramps that can be caused by various situations, such as stress, unbalanced nutrition or pregnancy. MAG2 allows for a rapid restoration of the amount of magnesium needed by the body (physiological magnesium quota), ensuring effective treatment of magnesium deficiency.

Other disorders caused by magnesium deficiency may include: irritability, nervousness, stomach and intestinal problems, irregular heartbeat.
In all these cases, it is necessary to take magnesium to improve symptoms.

For more information, see the paragraph Health education notes.

Consult your doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse after a short period of treatment.

What you need to know before taking the medicine
Do not take MAG2
- if you are allergic to magnesium pidolate or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in paragraph 6);
- if you suffer from severe kidney failure (severe reduction in kidney function);
- if you are taking certain medicines to treat reduced heart function (digitalis therapy for heart failure).

Warnings and precautions
Consult your doctor before taking MAG2, especially if you are in one of the following situations or suffer from one of the following diseases:
• if you also suffer from calcium deficiency, as magnesium deficiency must be corrected before taking supplementary calcium;
• if you are pregnant (see Pregnancy and breastfeeding);
• if you need to administer MAG2 to children (see Use in children);
• if your kidney function is reduced (kidney failure, even if not severe), as it may be necessary to reduce the dose and carry out checks on kidney function and magnesium concentration in the blood (magnesemia) (see Use in patients with impaired kidney function). Consult your doctor even if this disorder has occurred in the past.

Please note that cardiovascular activity may slow down (depression) during treatment.
