Honey-based micro-enema, which combines a balanced evacuating action with a protective and soothing action on the rectal mucosa, useful for counteracting discomfort, irritation, and inflammation present in cases of constipation.
Melilax's dual action is achieved thanks to PROMELAXIN, an active complex of specially selected and processed nectar and honeydew honeys based on their content of monosaccharides, polysaccharides, and melanoidins, enriched with the polysaccharide fraction from Aloe and Mallow.
Melilax performs a non-irritating evacuating action, thus inducing a physiological and balanced stimulus for defecation. Furthermore, Melilax, thanks to its mucilage-like properties and its viscosity, protects the rectal mucosa during the passage of feces, mimicking the lubricating action of physiological mucus. These particular properties, combined with its antioxidant action, give the product the ability to protect and soothe the mucosa, performing an indirect anti-inflammatory action due to the physical characteristics of the product.
Melilax is indicated for the treatment of constipation, even in the presence of visceral hypersensitivity (as in cases of irritable bowel syndrome), fissures, and hemorrhoids.
Melilax Pediatric is indicated for children and infants.

Directions for use
• Children aged 3-12 years: 1 micro-enema of 5 g as needed. In case of stubborn constipation, apply 2 doses consecutively.
• Children aged 1-3 years: 1 micro-enema of 5 g as needed.
• Infants aged 0-1 year: half a 5 g micro-enema as needed.

Open the micro-enema by removing the safety cannula cap:
- grasp the round white ring located above the bellows;
- with the other hand, bend the cannula cap until it breaks and detaches completely from the ring;
- remove the cannula cap.
To facilitate the application of the micro-enema, it is preferable to position the child on their left side with their knees bent towards their abdomen.
Apply a few drops of the product to the perianal area and gently insert the cannula into the rectum. Press the micro-enema all the way and at the end of the application, keep it pressed until the cannula is completely removed, to prevent the product from being re-aspirated.

Ingredients
Promelaxin complex of honeys and polysaccharides from aloe and mallow
Title in: monosaccharides ≥ 50%, polysaccharides (Molecular Weight > 20,000 Daltons) ≥ 0.3%.
Also contains: hydroglyceric mixture; Lemon juice; Lavender essential oil.

Gluten-free.

Warnings
Do not use if there is hypersensitivity or individual allergy to one or more components.
In case of persistent constipation, it is important to consult a doctor to rule out other pathologies.
The micro-enema is single-use, therefore it should not be reused if half a dose is administered, as in the case of infants.
Keep out of reach of children.

Storage
Store at room temperature, away from heat sources and protected from light.
The expiry date refers to the product intact and correctly stored. Do not use after the indicated expiry date.
Shelf life unopened: 30 months.
