What it is and what it is used for
METHYL SALICYLATE NOVA ARGENTIA contains the active ingredient methyl salicylate, which belongs to a group of topical medicines used for joint and muscle pain, preparations based on salicylic acid derivatives.

This medicine is indicated for the short-term treatment of joint or muscle pain (bruises, sprains, muscle strains, lumbago).

Consult your doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse after a short period of treatment (3-5 days).

What you need to know before taking the medicine
Do not use METHYL SALICYLATE NOVA ARGENTIA
- if you are allergic to methyl salicylate, similar medicines (salicylates) or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).

Warnings and precautions
Consult your doctor or pharmacist before using METHYL SALICYLATE NOVA ARGENTIA.

DO NOT apply the medicine to irritated skin, sensitive areas or wounds and lesions. Also avoid contact of the medicine with mucous membranes.

Avoid prolonged use of this medicine because it can cause sensitisation phenomena (allergic reactions or other skin reactions). In this case, stop the treatment and consult your doctor.

Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

The following side effects may occur.

- skin irritation (rashes and contact dermatitis);
- allergic skin reactions.
