Properties
Feverfew: this botanical species, like others used in phytotherapy, belongs to the Asteraceae family, also called Compositae. Its effectiveness in treating headaches is mainly due to parthenolide, a plant molecule that counteracts the production of inflammatory molecules, such as leukotrienes and thromboxanes. It proves particularly effective when taken for preventive purposes and for periods of 2-3 months, thereby reducing the frequency and intensity of headache episodes. It has been observed that not all feverfew preparations have the same efficacy, which is why the concentrations of feverfew and parthenolide contained in Micrì dec have been optimized to maximize the effect (dry extract titrated and standardized to 0.80% parthenolide).
Ginger: has a general anti-inflammatory activity, which makes it useful as an analgesic against pain caused by headaches. This botanical species also reduces the action of pro-inflammatory mediators, such as thromboxanes and leukotrienes.
Tryptophan: this essential amino acid (it cannot be synthesized by the body and therefore must be introduced with normal diet) is the precursor of serotonin and niacin. Several studies demonstrate its usefulness in increasing the production of serotonin, a fundamental neurotransmitter for mood management and whose levels are reduced in conditions of anxiety and mood swings.
Magnesium: is a mineral involved in numerous essential biological processes for life and health and plays an indispensable role in energy production and the balance of the nervous system. The presence of magnesium in the Migrenì dec formulation is linked to its involvement in the rebalancing processes of neuronal transmission altered by headaches.
