Wrist blood pressure monitor

Description
CE Medical Device (EU Directive 93/42/EEC) Class IIa.
Wrist blood pressure monitor, with IHB technology for early detection of arrhythmias. It detects irregular heartbeats and has 30 memories for recording measurements. The accuracy of this blood pressure monitor has been clinically tested according to the European Society of Hypertension (ESH) protocol and in compliance with ISO 81060-2:2013. In a "pocket-sized" format, ideal for those who need to measure blood pressure while traveling, at work, or away from home.
This device is an oscillometric blood pressure monitor intended for non-invasive measurement of radial (wrist) blood pressure. Suitable for use by adults (12 years and older) for self-measurement and measurement on other people, in a home environment (e.g., home use).

How to use
1. Immediately before measurement, avoid physical activity, eating, or smoking.
2. Sit on a chair with a backrest and relax for 5 minutes before measurement. Keep your feet flat on the floor and do not cross your legs.
3. Always take the measurement on the same wrist (usually the left one). It is advisable for the doctor to perform a double measurement on both arms during the first visit to determine where to measure blood pressure subsequently. Take measurements on the arm with the higher blood pressure.
4. Remove clothing and objects such as watches to free the wrist.
5. Wrap the cuff approximately 0.5 - 1 cm above the hand. Tighten the cuff, but not too much. The cuff covers a wrist circumference between 13.5 - 21.5 cm.
6. Press the On/Off button to start the measurement.
7. The cuff will inflate automatically. Rest your arm so that it is relaxed and ensure the device is at the same height as your heart. Remain in a relaxed position, do not move, and relax your arm muscles until the measurement results are displayed. Breathe normally and do not talk.
The cuff positioning check indicator shows that the cuff has been correctly positioned. If the 'Non-ideal cuff positioning' symbol appears, it means that the cuff has not been optimally worn but the measurement is possible.
8. When the correct inflation pressure has been reached, the device stops and the pressure gradually decreases. If the necessary pressure has not been reached, the device will automatically inflate the cuff as needed.
9. During measurement, the pulse indicator flashes on the display.
10. At the end of the measurement, the systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, and heart rate values are displayed. Refer to the explanations of other displays in the manual.
11. At the end of the measurement, remove the cuff.
12. Turn off the device. The display automatically turns off after approximately 1 minute.
If the irregular heartbeat symbol IHB appears, this indicates that an irregular heartbeat has been detected. Blood pressure values may differ from usual. It is advisable to repeat the measurement. If the symbol appears repeatedly: the device is an oscillometric blood pressure monitor that also detects heart rate during blood pressure measurement and indicates when the heart rate is irregular.
The device automatically stores the values of the last 30 measurements.
It is recommended to check the accuracy of this device every 2 years or after a mechanical impact. Contact your local Microlife consumer service to perform the test.

Cleaning and disinfection
Clean the device only with a soft, dry cloth. Carefully remove any traces of dirt on the cuff with a cloth moistened with soap and water.
Do not wash the cuff in a washing machine or dishwasher. Do not tumble dry the cuff cover. Under no circumstances wash the cuff air bladder.

Warnings
Follow the instructions for use. Please read them carefully before using the device. The device must only be used as described in the manual. The manufacturer cannot be held responsible for damages caused by improper use. This device is built with delicate components and must be handled with care. Observe the storage and operating conditions described in the 'Technical specifications' chapter. The cuffs are delicate and must be handled with care. Inflate the cuff only after putting it on. Do not use the device if you believe it is damaged or if you notice anything unusual. Never open the device. The measurement obtained with this device does not represent a diagnosis. It does not replace consultation with your doctor, especially if the result does not correspond to your symptoms. Do not rely solely on the measurement; always consider other symptoms that may occur and the patient's general condition. If necessary, it is advisable to call a doctor or an ambulance. Ensure that children do not use the device without adult supervision. Some parts are small and could be swallowed. Pay attention to the risk of strangulation in the presence of cables or tubes.
The device is intended exclusively for measuring blood pressure at the wrist. Do not measure in other positions, as the reading will not accurately correspond to blood pressure. At the end of the measurement, loosen the cuff and rest for at least 5 minutes to restore blood flow to the limb before performing another measurement. Do not use the device simultaneously with other electromedical equipment. This could cause the device to malfunction or lead to inaccuracies in measurement. Do not use the device near high-frequency surgical equipment, MRI machines, and computed tomography scanners. This could cause the device to malfunction and lead to inaccuracies in measurement. Use and store the device, cuff, and its parts under the temperature and humidity conditions indicated in the 'Technical specifications'. The use and storage of the device, cuff, and its parts under conditions outside the ranges indicated in the 'Technical specifications' could cause the device to malfunction and compromise its safe use. To avoid damaging the device and accessories, protect them from the following: water, other liquids, and moisture, extreme temperatures, bumps and vibrations, direct sunlight, contamination, and dust. The device has 2 user settings. Ensure it is cleaned and disinfected between users to prevent any cross-contamination.
