Simethicone

What it is and what it is used for
This medicine contains simethicone, an active ingredient that acts by eliminating gases that form in the stomach or intestines (flatulence).

MYLICON is used in children and infants who experience bloating, abdominal pain, cramps, belching, flatulence due to flatulence caused by, for example, a tendency to swallow air (aerophagia).

Consult your doctor if your child does not feel better or feels worse after 7 days of treatment.

What you need to know before taking the medicine
Do not take MYLICON
• if you are allergic to simethicone or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6);

Warnings and precautions
Consult your doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse after 7 days of treatment. In case of persistent or worsening symptoms or prolonged constipation, the patient should consult a doctor.
Do not use in case of suspected intestinal perforation or ileus.

MYLICON is used in children and infants.

Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Inform your doctor if, while using MYLICON, you notice the following side effects:
• vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, ileus, nausea;
• skin rashes;
• swelling of the face, eyes, lips, tongue, throat with breathing difficulties (angioedema).
These effects occur very rarely.
