Naaxia 49 mg/ml eye drops, solution
What it is and what it is used for
It is an ophthalmic solution in single-dose containers.
It is used for the treatment of mild manifestations of acute and chronic allergic conjunctivitis and keratoconjunctivitis. Vernal conjunctivitis.
What you need to know before taking the medicine
Do not use Naaxia if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to spaglumic acid sodium salt or any of the excipients of Naaxia.
Warnings and precautions
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine.
Studies in animals have not shown any toxic effects of spaglumic acid, sodium salt, on pregnancy and the product of conception.
However, as with all medicines, it is advisable to limit its use to cases of actual need and under direct medical supervision during the first trimester of pregnancy, as well as during breastfeeding.
Possible side effects
Like all medicines, Naaxia eye drops solution in single-dose containers can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Naaxia eye drops solution can occasionally cause hypersensitivity reactions.
Occasionally, the patient may experience a transient sensation of mild burning after instillation.
Possible stinging sensation after instillation.
Adhering to the instructions in the package leaflet reduces the risk of side effects.
