NORMOGIN 40 mg vaginal tablets
Döderlein's bacillus

What it is and what it is used for
NORMOGIN consists of freeze-dried Döderlein's bacillus (Lactobacillus Rhamnosus). This lactobacillus is normally present in the vagina of a healthy woman and represents the main natural defence mechanism against the development of agents that can cause disease (pathogenic microorganisms). NORMOGIN restores normal (physiological) conditions in the vaginal environment and is a useful complement when finishing a course of antibiotics or other chemotherapy.

NORMOGIN is indicated in the treatment of the following vaginal disorders:
- vaginal infections (vaginitis associated with ovarian insufficiency, infantile vaginitis, senile vaginitis);
- itching (vulvar pruritus);
- increased secretions (hypoestrogenic leukorrhea);
- alteration of the vaginal mucosa (vaginal dystrophy);
- adjuvant to other medicines (antibiotics and chemotherapeutics) in infections caused by a germ (Trichomonas vaginitis).
Consult your doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse.

What you need to know before taking the medicine
Do not use NORMOGIN
if you are allergic to the active substance or any of the components of this medicine (listed in section 6).

Do not use NORMOGIN to replace antibiotic or chemotherapeutic treatment, but to supplement it, especially at the end of the specific treatment for the infection, as this medicine restores normal (physiological) conditions in the vagina.

Warnings and precautions
Consult your doctor or pharmacist before using NORMOGIN.
