Laxative indicated for the treatment of occasional and chronic constipation in adults, adolescents, and children.
It is based on polyethylene glycol (PEG) and Psyllium. The combination of these substances, in the presence of liquids, exerts a mechanical laxative effect due to the increase in fecal volume. The physiological consequence is better propulsive advancement of softened feces in the colon and easier defecation.
Preservative-free. Gluten-free.

Ingredients
Polyethylene glycol; psyllium seeds (Plantago psyllium) husk; guar gum; citric acid; orange flavor; silicon dioxide; sweeteners: sorbitol, acesulfame K, sucralose.

Directions for use
• Adults: 2 sachets a day, preferably morning and evening.
• Children and adolescents aged 6 to 14: 1 sachet a day.
Open a sachet and pour the contents into a drinking glass (200 ml). Fill with still water (non-carbonated). Stir well for about 10 seconds and drink immediately after dissolving the powder. Any increase in the consistency of the solution is a characteristic of the product. For optimal results, it is recommended to drink 1-2 glasses of water afterward. It can be taken at any time of day, at least half an hour before bedtime.
Generally, the duration of treatment is about 2 weeks. If constipation is caused by a disease such as Parkinson's disease or multiple sclerosis, or if other products that cause constipation are being taken, the doctor may recommend taking the product for a period longer than 2 weeks. Generally, for long-term treatment, the dose is 1 sachet per day.

When not to use
Do not use in case of:
• esophageal or gastrointestinal stenosis;
• intestinal blockage (intestinal obstruction, ileus);
• perforation of the intestinal wall;
• severe intestinal disease such as ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, or toxic megacolon;
• individual hypersensitivity to any of the product components.

Interactions with other products
Due to the increased gastrointestinal transit speed induced by the product, there is a possibility that its concomitant use with other products or medications may temporarily reduce their intestinal absorption. Furthermore, Psyllium seeds could enhance the effect of cholesterol-lowering and blood sugar-lowering products or medications. Therefore, in such circumstances, it is advisable to take the product at least 2 hours before or 2 hours after taking such products or medications; however, it is always advisable to consult a doctor.

Side effects
The medical device is usually well tolerated as its mechanism of action is physical/mechanical and does not depend on systemic absorption.
During its administration, side effects such as indigestion, stomach ache or rumbling, bloating, flatulence, nausea, vomiting, anal irritation, and mild diarrhea may occur. These effects improve by reducing the dose. In case of allergic reactions, stop taking the product and contact your doctor. If any side effects are experienced, inform your doctor or pharmacist.

Warnings
Safety of use during pregnancy and breastfeeding has not been demonstrated. In such circumstances, consult your doctor.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Avoid contact with eyes.

Storage and expiry
The expiry date is indicated on the package and on the sachet; it refers to the product in intact packaging, correctly stored. Do not use beyond this date or if the package is open or damaged.
Store the device tightly closed, in a cool, dry place, away from light and heat.
