Description
Preservative-free hyperosmolar ophthalmic solution.
It is recommended to reduce postoperative and post-traumatic corneal edema, as well as edema due to corneal dystrophy. Corneal edema occurs when the cornea has an abnormal accumulation of fluids.
The ODM 5 hypersaline solution uses an osmotic effect to draw excess fluids out of the cornea, so that the latter can temporarily regain an optimal state of hydration. ODM 5 thus contributes to the improvement of visual quality.
It contains sodium hyaluronate, a component naturally present in the eye, which helps protect the cornea thanks to its lubricating properties.

Instructions for use
Wash your hands thoroughly before instilling.
Upon first use, check that the safety ring is intact and then remove it. Remove the protective cap by pulling upwards. Position the bottle above the eye, with the tip pointing downwards. Hold the bottle in the center with your thumb and forefinger. Gently press, applying progressive force to the bottle with your thumb and forefinger, until a drop of ophthalmic solution comes out.
Instill 1-2 drops 4 times a day, as prescribed by your doctor. Instill the drops into the lower conjunctival sac of the eye, looking upwards and gently pulling down the lower eyelid. After instillation, keep the eye closed for 1-2 minutes.
Replace the protective cap after each use, making sure that no residual drops remain on the tip; if they do, remove them with a firm flick of the wrist.
Avoid contact of the bottle tip with the eye and eyelids.
Rinsing after use is not necessary.

Components
Sodium chloride 5%, sodium hyaluronate 0.15%.
Other components: purified water, sodium citrate dihydrate, citric acid monohydrate, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose.

Warnings
Do not ingest.
Do not use the bottle if it is damaged.
Do not use after the expiry date shown on the bottle. Close the bottle carefully after each use, making sure that no residual drops remain on the tip.
Avoid contact of the bottle tip with hands, eyes, and eyelids. Avoid touching or drying the tip with your fingers or with a non-sterile tissue.
If your doctor has prescribed another eye drop, allow at least 15 minutes between each instillation.
Keep out of sight and reach of children.
Contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity to any of the components and with contact lenses (ODM 5 is not compatible with contact lenses).
In some cases, during instillation, temporary disturbances such as a slight burning or itching sensation, as well as temporarily blurred vision, may appear. If side effects persist or in case of side effects not described in the package leaflet, discontinue use of the product and consult a doctor.

Storage
Store at room temperature (between +2 °C and +25 °C).
Shelf life after opening: 3 months.
