Description
PEGinpol is a medical device in powder for extemporaneous oral suspension useful in the treatment of constipation.
PEGinpol is a medical device with a laxative action that, through an osmotic mechanism, naturally regulates the intestine. PEGinpol is particularly indicated for chronic constipation and in cases of occasionally irregular bowel movements. Thanks to its affinity for water, PEGinpol softens the stool, facilitating evacuation without causing cramps, abdominal pain, or urgency. Its effectiveness does not diminish over time. It is not absorbed or fermented in the intestine, does not irritate the mucosa, and is eliminated in the feces in an unmodified form.

Instructions for use
From 6 months to 2 years (up to 12 kg): 0.8 g of product per kg of body weight per day.
From 2 to 11 years (from 12 kg to 20 kg): 1 g of product per kg of body weight per day.
Above 11 years (or > 20 kg): 10-30 g of product per day (5-15 level scoops).
The dose can be increased or decreased depending on the individual response to treatment. The most correct daily dosage for each age group should be decided based on the child's weight and the severity of the constipation.
In any case, it is advisable to consult a doctor for the most correct dosage. Use the product in pediatric age only after medical advice.
The maximum necessary dose usually does not exceed 30 g of product per day. Based on the dosage indicated above, take the quantity of product using the measuring scoop with markings that allow the product to be dosed.
Dissolve the powder in water, considering for each level scoop (equal to 2 g) of powder, about 1/4 of a glass of water (about 25 ml). Drink the reconstituted solution. The daily dose can be divided into several administrations. It is advisable to take PEGinpol away from meals.

Warnings
The oral suspension must be prepared at the time of administration.
It is advisable not to take quantities greater than those indicated, as higher doses can cause the onset of unexpected side effects.
Do not use PEGinpol for more than 30 consecutive days; if symptoms persist, consult a doctor.
Do not take in case of intolerance to the product.
Do not take in case of known hypersensitivity to the components and to Polyethylene Glycol.
Do not use in children under 6 months.
During treatment with PEGinpol, it is advisable to follow an adequate diet accompanied by the administration of an oral rehydration solution (ORS) to avoid dehydration; however, it is advisable to consult a doctor.
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C, in the original packaging.
The indicated expiry date refers to the product correctly stored in an intact package.
Do not use the device after the expiry date indicated on the package.
Do not use if the package is damaged.
Keep out of reach of children.
