Polybactum
VAGINAL SUPPOSITORIES
Description
A compound that adheres to the vaginal wall to help reduce vaginal infections and protect the vagina from infections (including Gardnerella vaginalis infections) through a barrier effect. It contains Polycarbophil (mucoadhesive) and lauryl glucoside. Polybactum has no harmful effects on the natural vaginal flora. In women with bacterial vaginosis, Polybactum aims to prevent the recurrence of bacterial vaginosis. Polybactum is safe for vaginal lactobacilli, the healthy physiological vaginal flora.
Composition
C12-C18 glycerides, polycarbophil, lauryl glucoside.
How to use
Each suppository should be inserted deep into the vagina.
After adequate treatment of acute bacterial vaginosis, use Polybactum as follows:
-3 suppositories (1 every 3 days) per week.
If necessary, wait until the end of the menstrual cycle;
-repeat this treatment for 2 subsequent cycles (3 cycles in total).
In case of pregnancy, start using Polybactum immediately after treatment of the acute phase.
Warnings
Product exclusively for vaginal use.
Do not use in case of known hypersensitivity to one or more substances contained in the product.
In case of an unexpected reaction, discontinue administration and contact a doctor.
Do not use together with other vaginal treatments.
Polybactum can be used during pregnancy but must be discontinued after membrane rupture.
To avoid any interaction with other medicines, you should inform your doctor or pharmacist of any other ongoing treatment.
Do not use if the box is damaged.
Do not use the product if expired.
The use of condoms is permitted during treatment.
The use of spermicides and diaphragms is not recommended as the risk of rendering the contraceptive method inactive cannot be excluded.
Keep out of reach of children.
Keep the blister in its original box.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, away from light.
Shelf life in intact packaging: 24 months.
