PONTEFIX
Description
Temporary cement for bridges, crowns, post teeth and caps made of any material, on prepared teeth and implants. For simplicity, the instructions use the word "cap" to refer to all elements for which Pontefix is to be used. Pontefix's original formula has made it possible to use zinc oxyphosphate for temporary fixations.
- Pontefix maintains the characteristics of a permanent cement.
- Pontefix does not damage the caps in any way.
- Pontefix does not compromise subsequent definitive dental treatment.
- The product is single-use.
How to use
Carefully remove any residual material inside the cap using a pointed object. Then complete the cleaning with cotton wool soaked in alcohol.
Place the cotton roll between the gum and the cheek, near the tooth or implant on which the cementation is to be performed.
Check the correct orientation of the cap to place it directly on the tooth.
Open the powder jar and add all the liquid contained in the single-dose vial.
Mix with the spatula until a homogeneous mixture is obtained (about 20/30 seconds).
Warning: the mixture hardens in about 2 minutes; therefore, it is necessary to proceed quickly.
To use the product in high-temperature conditions (above 28 °C-30 °C), it is advisable to mix the components in a cool, shaded place as it may harden faster.
Using the spatula, fill the cap halfway with the mixture. (In the case of a detached post (Richmond crown), the mixture should be applied directly to the post).
Insert the cap onto the tooth in the correct position.
Remove the cotton roll previously inserted between the cheek and the gum and place it over the cemented cap.
Clench teeth for about five minutes.
Once cemented, remove the excess mixture that has spilled out of the cap.
Warnings
Despite its excellent resistance, Pontefix does not eliminate the causes that led to the detachment of the prosthesis. If the problem persists, it is advisable to consult your dentist.
The contained mixture is sufficient to cement one to four caps simultaneously.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place.
