Schollmed Onicomicosi Medicated Nail Lacquer
Amorolfine

What it is and what it is used for
• Schollmed Onicomicosi is used to treat fungal infections involving no more than two nails and affecting the upper or lateral half of the nail (as shown in the first picture below). If the infection looks more like image no. 2 or 3, you should consult your doctor.
• The active ingredient in Schollmed Onicomicosi is amorolfine (as hydrochloride), which belongs to a group of medicines known as antifungals.
• Schollmed Onicomicosi kills a wide variety of fungi that can cause nail infections.

What you need to know before taking the medicine
Do not use Schollmed Onicomicosi
• if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to the active ingredient (amorolfine) or any of the other components of Schollmed Onicomicosi (listed in paragraph 6).
• if you are under 18 years of age.

Warnings and precautions
This medicine can cause allergic reactions, some of which can be serious. If this happens, stop applying the product, immediately remove the product with nail polish remover or cleansing pads and consult your doctor. The product should not be reapplied.
You must seek urgent medical assistance if you experience any of the following symptoms:
• difficulty breathing;
• swelling of your face, lips, tongue or throat;
• severe skin rash.

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Amorolfine,
• if you suffer from diabetes;
• if you are being treated for immune system disorders;
• if you suffer from circulatory problems in your hands and feet;
• if the nail is severely damaged or infected.

If Schollmed Onicomicosi comes into contact with your eyes or ears, rinse immediately with water and contact your doctor, pharmacist or go to the nearest hospital.
Avoid the nail lacquer coming into contact with mucous membranes (e.g. mouth and nostrils). Do not inhale it.
Wear waterproof gloves when using organic solvents, so as not to remove the nail lacquer.

This medicine contains 55.4% w/w alcohol (ethanol).
It may cause a burning sensation on damaged skin.

Possible side effects
Like all medicines, Schollmed Onicomicosi can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Rare side effects (may affect up to 1 in 1,000 people)
Your nails may become discolored, break or become brittle.

Very rare side effects (may affect up to 1 in 10,000 people)
A burning sensation in the area around the nail may occur.

Frequency not known (frequency cannot be estimated from the available data)
Redness, itching, hives, blisters and allergic skin reaction (contact dermatitis).
