Biogreen
Ear spray
Description
Indicated for the eradication and/or dissolution of earwax plugs in the external ear canal. Depending on the application time, Biogreen Ear Spray can dissolve or soften the earwax plug, facilitating its extraction by a specialist.
Biogreen Ear Spray is suitable for outpatient use by a General Practitioner or Specialist for the removal of earwax plugs. Thanks to its easy application method, Biogreen Ear Spray can be used independently by the patient to dissolve earwax plugs or as a preparatory treatment for plug removal by a doctor.
In addition to dissolving and/or removing earwax, Biogreen Ear Spray is also useful as a preventive treatment against earwax plug formation in predisposed patients or those with excessive earwax production, hearing aid users, or those who practice water sports.
Instructions for use
- Tilt the head approximately 35/40° to the side opposite the ear to be treated.
- If the patient is at home, use a pillow and/or the armrest of the sofa, resting the head so that the auricle to be treated is parallel to the support.
- Shake the Biogreen Ear Spray dispenser bottle.
- Remove the nozzle cap.
- Press the pump 2 to 3 times to prime it.
- Position the dispenser nozzle near the external ear canal.
- Dispense 8/10 sprays (approx. 1 ml) into the ear, wait approximately 5/10 seconds, then gently pull the lobe of the affected ear downwards, alternating with moderate compression on the tragus.
This operation is recommended to allow the Biogreen Ear Spray solution to reach all parts of the ear canal.
- Immediately repeat the application of another 8/10 sprays, without removing the previously introduced solution.
- It is advisable to massage the tragus, even if not continuously, while waiting for the dissolution process.
- Finally, after waiting 45 minutes, thoroughly wash the ear using a ductile material bulb syringe with lukewarm water, tilting the head and ear for the dissolved earwax to drain out.
- It is advisable to repeat the treatment with only 8/10 sprays of Biogreen Ear Spray for the following 2/3 days, letting the product act for only 10 minutes and then proceeding with the wash.
- This operation, while not essential, is recommended for a safe and more thorough cleaning and sanitization of the treated canal.
- Disinfect, clean, and carefully close the dispenser nozzle with its cap after use.
- Important: the product can be used until its expiry date if cleaning and storage instructions have been followed perfectly.
It can be used by a specialist as a preparatory treatment for earwax plug extraction. Thanks to its formulation, Biogreen Ear Spray softens earwax, facilitating its removal.
- Dispense 8/10 sprays of Biogreen Ear Spray into the external ear canal and let it act for approximately 15 minutes. Proceed with the removal of the plug by a specialist via aspiration.
USE IN PREVENTION
- In subjects suffering from recurrent earwax plug formation, hearing aid users, workers requiring anti-noise devices, subjects working in dusty environments, habitual users of intra-aural microphones, and in all cases where normal ventilation and physiological function of the external ear canal are altered, the preventive and scheduled use of Biogreen Ear Spray inhibits the aggregation of excessive ceruminous substance. Furthermore, Biogreen Ear Spray can be considered supportive in preventing various problems of the external ear canal.
- For effective prevention, it is sufficient to dispense 4 sprays per ear (morning and evening) for three/four consecutive days, repeating the application in the following months according to medical advice.
- In case of hearing aids:
1) remove hearing aids;
2) dispense Biogreen Ear Spray into the ear canal;
3) once the external ear canal is completely dry, reapply the hearing aid.
Ingredients
Tabebuia avellanedae bark extract, methylparaben, propylparaben, sodium benzoate.
Warnings
- In patients with "pre-existing tympanic lesions," consult and follow the advice of a specialist before using Biogreen Ear Spray.
- In cases where the earwax plug is firmly encapsulated by lamellae of exfoliated epidermis, the Biogreen Ear Spray solution, not having keratolytic activity, is unable to act on the earwax itself but only facilitates its removal by acting on the connections to the walls.
This intervention should only be carried out by a specialist.
- The presence of possible "whitish particles" in the dissolved earwax fluid consists of lamellae of exfoliated, non-viable epidermis, which are almost always found in the elements that make up the earwax plug.
- Their presence indicates the physiological and non-damaging behavior of the Biogreen Ear Spray solution towards the epithelium of the external ear canal.
- Do not use the product in patients with ear conditions (otitis).
- Do not use the product in patients with otorrhea.
- Do not use in the presence of bleeding from the ear canal.
Storage
Store at temperatures not exceeding 25°C.
Shelf life of unopened package: 36 months.
Format
13 ml bottle.
