RECTAL GEL
DescriptionMedical device with a predominantly protective action on the rectal mucosa. It is indicated for actinic proctitis due to radiotherapy treatment of the pelvic area and for proctitis during chemotherapy or combined treatments (radio and chemotherapy).
Fluid gel in the form of single-dose tubes based on hyaluronic acid, the main component of connective tissue, and amino acids intended to promote collagen formation, usable as an adjunct in the repair process of the rectal and anal canal mucosa, and in painful symptoms from neurological damage in proctitis from radiotherapy and/or chemotherapy treatment of pelvic tumors.
It creates a protective layer on the erythematous or ulcerated mucosa characterized by burning pain of varying intensity, reducing the algic symptoms with a rapid reduction of burning and pain. The acid and amino acids also promote a regenerative stimulus of collagen and epithelial tissue and, consequently, that of the mucous membranes.
It can be easily applied in an adequate dosage for rectal mucositis and for maintaining mucosal trophism to avoid recurrence and prevent its onset.
Instructions for use
It is advisable to use one tube one or more times a day depending on the severity of the symptoms or according to medical advice.
Before applying the product, thoroughly clean the affected area. Remove the cap at the end of the applicator, gently insert the applicator and press the tube to dispense the gel. If necessary, before inserting the applicator, take a small portion of gel and lubricate the applicator to facilitate its entry, reducing possible pain in the area. Then insert the applicator and press the tube, spreading the entire contents of the gel evenly; the tube is single-dose.
