Hydrocortisone acetate

What it is and what it is used for
Euclorina Eritemi e Dermatiti contains the active ingredient hydrocortisone acetate and belongs to the category of corticosteroids for dermatological use with anti-inflammatory and anti-itch activity.

Euclorina Eritemi e Dermatiti is indicated for the treatment of skin conditions such as eczema, insect bites, erythema or localized burns, and reduces itching.

Consult your doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse after a short period of treatment.

What you need to know before taking the medicine
Do not use Euclorina Eritemi e Dermatiti
- if you are allergic to hydrocortisone acetate or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).
- in case of viral, bacterial and fungal infections.
- in case of vulvar treatment if associated with vaginal discharge.

Warnings and precautions
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Euclorina Eritemi e Dermatiti.

Euclorina Eritemi e Dermatiti is for external use only. The cream should not be applied directly to the mucous membrane of the eyes, but should be applied to the surrounding areas.

Contact your doctor if you experience blurred vision or other visual disturbances.

Avoid prolonged applications, especially over large areas.

For those engaged in sports activities: the use of the drug without therapeutic necessity constitutes doping and may, in any case, lead to positive anti-doping tests.

Children
In children under 2 years of age, the medicine should be administered only when strictly necessary and under direct medical supervision.

Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

The use, especially if prolonged, of products for local use can give rise to local irritation or sensitization; in this case, it is necessary to stop the treatment and consult the doctor in order to establish an appropriate therapy. The systemic side effects of corticosteroid preparations for local use are extremely unlikely due to the low dosages used and, if they occur, are generally transient.
