What it is and what it is used for
Canesten contains clotrimazol, which is an antimycotic (antifungal) for dermatological use, meaning it acts locally by eliminating skin fungi.

Canesten powder is used for the treatment of moist mycoses (fungal infections) of the skin and skin folds, especially when located in covered or poorly ventilated areas (e.g., tinea pedis or athlete's foot, tinea cruris, tinea inguinalis).

What you need to know before taking the medicine
Do not use Canesten
- if you are allergic to clotrimazole or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Canesten if you have previously suffered from these conditions (recurrent mycoses).

The use of non-breathable diapers after applying the medicine for diaper dermatitis is not recommended.
Avoid contact with eyes. Do not swallow.
The use, especially prolonged use, of products for cutaneous use (applied to the skin) can lead to sensitization phenomena such as erythema (localized redness in the area of the skin where the medicine is applied) and itching.
