Description
Medical device indicated for the symptomatic treatment of constipation. It promotes peristalsis, helping to ensure adequate bowel movements, thus counteracting constipation and preventing the formation of fecal impaction. It also facilitates the elimination of intestinal gases, reducing the feeling of bloating and abdominal distension. Agpeg esse comes in powder form for oral solution.
Macrogol is an inert, water-soluble, high molecular weight polymer that has the ability to bind to the water used for ingestion, retaining it in the feces. It rehydrates and softens the fecal mass and facilitates its evacuation. It accelerates intestinal transit by promoting peristalsis. It is not absorbed or metabolized in the gastrointestinal tract and does not lead to hydro-electrolyte imbalances if taken with the indicated dose of liquid. Simethicone is a substance that has the ability to decrease the surface tension of gas bubbles present in the gastrointestinal tract, facilitating their expulsion.

Instructions for use
Use the measuring spoon included in the package to measure the powder: fill it level and not pressed, then remove the excess product with the blade of a knife.
Children aged 6 months to 12 years (adults/children <43 kg)
- from 6-10 kg: 1 level spoon daily;
- from 10-15 kg: 1-2 level spoons daily;
- from 16-20 kg: 2-3 level spoons daily;
- from 21-43 kg: 3-4 level spoons daily.
The dose should be increased or decreased, depending on the individual response to treatment, to allow for regular soft bowel movements. The maximum necessary dose usually does not exceed 4 spoons per day. Dissolve the powder in water or other liquid (50 ml for each spoon) and take immediately. It is recommended to administer the product in the morning if only 1 spoon per day is to be taken. For larger doses, divide the intake between morning and evening.
Adults and children over 12 years of age (>43 kg)
- from 2 to 10 level spoons per day.
The dose should be increased or decreased, depending on the individual response to treatment, to allow for regular soft bowel movements. The maximum necessary dose usually does not exceed 10 spoons per day. Dissolve the powder in water or other liquid (50 ml for each spoon) and take immediately. It is recommended to administer the product in the morning if the minimum dose (2 spoons per day) is to be taken. For larger doses, divide the intake between morning and evening.

Warnings
Do not take Agpeg esse in case of known hypersensitivity to macrogol or other components, perforation, obstruction or intestinal stenosis, paralytic ileus, severe inflammatory diseases of the intestinal tract such as Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, and toxic megacolon. The use of laxatives is contraindicated in cases of acute abdominal pain or pain of unknown origin, nausea and vomiting, rectal bleeding of unknown origin, and in cases of severe dehydration.
Some gastrointestinal disturbances may occur (stomach ache, flatulence, abdominal bloating, nausea, and fecal incontinence). Diarrhea is a secondary effect of taking excessive doses of Agpeg esse and can be avoided by decreasing the dose. Rarely, cases of hypersensitivity reactions (skin rash) have been reported following the use of products containing macrogol. In such a case, stop treatment and consult a doctor.
It is advisable to use the product in pediatric age after consulting a doctor. Administration in children must be carried out under the direct supervision of an adult. Consult your doctor before use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package. Do not use if the package is open or damaged. Do not exceed the maximum daily dose. Keep the product or the resulting solution out of the reach of children. If no improvement is observed after 7 days of treatment, it is advisable to consult a doctor. The product may reduce the residence time in the intestine and thus the absorption of oral medicines. Therefore, it is advisable to consult your doctor in case of concomitant intake of oral medicines, which must in any case be administered at least 2 hours apart. In case of undesirable reactions, even if different from those listed, stop treatment and consult your doctor.

Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, away from light and heat sources. The indicated expiration date refers to the product correctly stored in an intact package. Once the jar is opened.
