Description
Agpeg plus esse is a medical device to be taken to obtain effective bowel cleansing. The removal of solid residues in the colon is essential in preparation for endoscopic, radiological, and ultrasound examinations for an accurate diagnosis.
Mechanism of action: Agpeg plus esse contains macrogol 3350, an inert substance that is not absorbed, does not irritate the mucosa, does not ferment, and is eliminated in an unchanged form. Thanks to its affinity for water, it draws a high amount of liquid into the intestinal compartment, hydrating the fecal mass and stimulating peristalsis.
It also contains simethicone, which, thanks to its anti-foaming action, is effective in absorbing gastrointestinal gas associated with constipation.

Components
Macrogol 3350 and simethicone. Excipients: silicon dioxide, flavor, sodium saccharin.

Gluten-free.

Warnings
Contraindications
Do not take the product in case of:
- known hypersensitivity to the product
- intestinal stenosis
- dynamic ileus
- acute or severe colitis
- toxic megacolon
- intestinal perforation
- gastric stasis
- inflammatory bowel diseases (e.g., Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis)
- patients weighing less than 20 kg or under 2 years of age
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
There is no experience with taking it during pregnancy and breastfeeding. The product should only be taken on medical advice.
Interactions
The product may reduce the residence time in the intestine and thus the absorption of drugs administered orally at the same time. Therefore, avoid ingesting them together: after taking a medicine, allow an interval of at least 2 hours before taking Agpeg plus esse. If you are taking anticoagulants, antiplatelets, or diabetes medications, consult your doctor or endoscopy center for a possible change in dosage.
The oral suspension must be prepared at the time of administration. If not ingested immediately, the suspension must be stored in the refrigerator and, in any case, used within 24 hours of its preparation. Do not add other ingredients to the reconstituted suspension. Simethicone can interfere with the effect of some reagents used in diagnostics, such as guaiac gum.

Storage
Keep out of reach of children. Do not use the device after the expiration date indicated on the package (the expiration date is on the sachets and on the box). Do not use opened or damaged sachets. Do not store at temperatures above 25°C.
Shelf life when unopened: 36 months.
