Indications
Symptomatic treatment of constipation, oral solution powder.

Dosage and method of use
SaniPeg 10 g:
indicated for adults and children over 12 years of age.
- 1 to 4 sachets per day.
The dose should be increased or decreased, depending on the individual response to treatment, to allow regular evacuation of soft stools. The maximum necessary dose normally does not exceed 4 sachets per day.
Dissolve the contents of one sachet in 125 ml of water or other liquid and take immediately.
It is recommended to administer the product in the morning if only 1 sachet per day is to be taken. If more than one sachet is taken, divide the intake between morning and evening. If no improvement is observed after 7 days of treatment, consult a doctor.
SaniPeg 4 g:
indicated for children aged 2 to 12 years.
- 2 to 4 years: 1-2 sachets per day;
- 5 to 11 years: 2-4 sachets per day.

If physiological bowel regularity is not restored after 7 days of treatment, consult a doctor.

Features
CE Medical Device. Macrogol is an inert, water-soluble, high molecular weight polymer that has the ability to bind to the water used for ingestion, retaining it in the feces. It causes rehydration and softening of the fecal mass and facilitates its evacuation. It accelerates intestinal transit by promoting peristalsis. It is not absorbed or metabolized in the gastrointestinal tract and does not lead to hydro-electrolytic imbalances, if taken with the indicated dose of liquid.

Warnings
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Administration in children must be carried out under the direct supervision of an adult.
Do not use if the package is open or damaged.
There is insufficient information regarding the use of SaniPeg during pregnancy or breastfeeding, therefore its intake in these circumstances should only be carried out under medical supervision.
The product may reduce the residence time in the intestine and therefore the absorption of oral medicines.
It is therefore advisable to consult a doctor in case of simultaneous intake of oral medicines, which must in any case be administered at least 2 hours apart.
In case of unwanted reactions, stop treatment and consult a doctor.

Contraindications
Do not take SaniPeg in case of:
- known hypersensitivity to one or more components.
- intestinal perforation, obstruction or stenosis.
- paralytic ileus.
- severe inflammatory bowel diseases (e.g., ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, toxic megacolon).
The use of laxatives is contraindicated in the presence of acute or unknown origin abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting, rectal bleeding of unknown origin and in cases of severe dehydration.
Some gastrointestinal disorders (stomach pain, flatulence, abdominal bloating, nausea and fecal incontinence) may occur. Diarrhea is a side effect of taking excessive doses of SANIPEG and can be avoided by reducing the dose.
Cases of hypersensitivity reactions (skin rash) following the use of products containing macrogol have been reported rarely.
If this occurs, stop treatment and consult a doctor.

Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, away from light and heat sources.
Do not use the product after the expiry date indicated on the package.
The expiry date refers to the product correctly stored, in an intact package.
Validity with intact packaging: 36 months.

One 4g sachet contains: macrogol 4g, sucralose.
One 10g sachet contains: macrogol 10g, sucralose.

Format
Pack of 20 sachets of 4g and 10g.
