Symptomatic treatment of constipation. Promotes peristalsis, helping to achieve adequate bowel evacuation, thus combating constipation and preventing fecaloma formation.
Macrogol is a high molecular weight, water-soluble inert polymer that can bind to the water used for ingestion, retaining it in the feces. It rehydrates and softens the fecal mass and facilitates its evacuation. It accelerates intestinal transit by promoting peristalsis. It is not absorbed or metabolized in the gastrointestinal tract and does not lead to fluid and electrolyte imbalances when taken with the indicated amount of liquid.

Directions for use
Use the measuring spoon provided in the package to dose the powder: fill it level and not pressed, then remove any excess product with the blade of a knife.

- Adults and children over 12 years of age: 2 to 10 level scoops per day. The dose should be increased or decreased, depending on the individual response to treatment, to allow for regular evacuation of soft stools. The maximum necessary dose does not normally exceed 10 scoops per day. Dissolve the powder in water or other liquid (50 ml per scoop) and take immediately. It is recommended to administer the product in the morning if the minimum dose (2 scoops per day) is to be taken. For larger doses, divide the intake between morning and evening. If no improvement is observed after 7 days of treatment, consult a doctor.

- Children aged between 6 months and 12 years: the dose should be increased or decreased, depending on the individual response to treatment, to allow for regular evacuation of soft stools. The maximum necessary dose does not normally exceed 4 scoops per day. Dissolve the powder in water or other liquid (50ml per scoop) and take immediately. It is recommended to administer the product in the morning if 1 scoop per day is to be taken. For larger doses, divide the intake between morning and evening. If no improvement is observed after 7 days of treatment, it is recommended to consult a doctor.

Warnings
Administration in children must be carried out under direct adult supervision. It is advisable to use the product in pediatric age after consulting a doctor.
Do not use if the package is open or damaged.
Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
The product may reduce the residence time in the intestine and thus the absorption of oral medicines. Therefore, it is advisable to consult a doctor if oral medicines are taken concurrently, which must in any case be administered at least 2 hours apart.
In case of unwanted reactions, stop treatment and consult a doctor.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Do not take in case of:
- known hypersensitivity to one or more components;
- intestinal perforation, obstruction or stenosis;
- paralytic ileus;
- severe inflammatory bowel diseases (e.g., ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, toxic megacolon).
The use of laxatives is contraindicated in cases of acute abdominal pain or pain of unknown origin, nausea and vomiting, rectal bleeding of unknown origin, and in cases of severe dehydration.
Some gastrointestinal disturbances may occur (stomach ache, flatulence, abdominal bloating, nausea and fecal incontinence).
Diarrhea is a side effect of taking excessive doses of Sanipeg and can be avoided by reducing the dose.
Cases of hypersensitivity reactions (skin rash) have been rarely reported following the use of macrogol-containing products. In such cases, stop treatment and consult a doctor.

Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, away from light and heat sources. Close the container carefully after use.
The expiry date refers to the product correctly stored.
Shelf life unopened: 36 months.
