OMRON
Description
This device is a digital monitor intended for measuring blood pressure and pulse rate in adult patients. The device detects the presence of irregular heartbeat during measurement and indicates it with a symbol alongside the measurement result.
The patient's arm circumference must be between 17 and 42 cm.
This device is used by healthy individuals, patients with hypertension, health-conscious individuals, in general home settings, for measuring blood pressure and pulse rate.
Warnings
Remove the monitor and other components from the packaging and inspect everything for any damage. If the monitor or any other component is damaged, do not use it.
Do not use the monitor on an injured or medically treated arm.
Do not apply the cuff to the arm while it is undergoing an intravenous infusion or blood transfusion.
Do not use the monitor on infants, children, or people who are unable to express themselves.
Measuring more often than necessary can cause bruising due to interference with blood flow.
Inflation to a pressure higher than necessary can cause bruising on the arm in the cuff application area. NOTE: Refer to the "If systolic pressure is above 210 mmHg" section at the end of instruction manual 2 for more information.
In case of skin irritation or other problems, stop using the monitor and consult your doctor.
Do not change medication dosages (including changes in the use of any medication or treatment) based on measurements obtained with this blood pressure monitor. Take medications according to the dose prescribed by your doctor. Only doctors are qualified to diagnose hypertension and heart conditions and prescribe related treatments.
Do not self-diagnose or self-prescribe medication based on measurement values. Always consult your doctor.
If you experience any symptoms or problems, consult your doctor.
Do not delay or interrupt routine medical check-ups or appointments based on the results obtained with this monitor.
Do not use the monitor in areas where high-frequency (HF) surgical equipment or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) or computed tomography (CT) scanners are present. This could lead to incorrect operation of the monitor and/or inaccurate results.
Do not use the monitor in oxygen-rich environments or near flammable gases.
Consult your doctor before using the monitor in the presence of common arrhythmias such as atrial or ventricular premature beats or atrial fibrillation, arteriosclerosis, poor perfusion, diabetes, pregnancy, preeclampsia, or kidney disease.
NOTE: The presence of any of these conditions, as well as patient movement, tremor, or shivering, can affect measurement values.
To avoid the risk of strangulation, keep the air tube and AC adapter cable away from infants and children.
This product contains small components that can cause choking hazards if swallowed by infants and children.
Do not disassemble or attempt to repair the monitor or other components. This can lead to inaccurate results.
Do not use in places where there is humidity or where the monitor may be subject to water splashes. This risks damaging the monitor.
Do not use the monitor in a moving vehicle, such as a car or airplane.
Do not drop or subject the monitor to strong impacts or vibrations.
Do not use the monitor in places with excessive or insufficient humidity or at excessively high or low temperatures.
During measurement, observe the arm to ensure that the monitor is not causing prolonged problems with blood circulation.
Do not use the monitor simultaneously with other electromedical (EM) devices. This could lead to incorrect operation of the devices and/or inaccurate results.
Avoid bathing, do not consume alcoholic or caffeinated beverages, do not smoke, do not exercise, or eat for at least 30 minutes before taking a measurement.
Rest for at least 5 minutes before taking a measurement.
Remove any excessively tight or thick clothing from your arm when taking a measurement.
Remain still and do not talk while taking a measurement.
Use the cuff only on people with an arm circumference within the specific range for which the cuff is intended.
Ensure that the monitor has adjusted to the ambient temperature before taking a measurement. If the measurement is taken after a drastic temperature change, there is a risk of obtaining an inaccurate result. It is advisable to wait for about 2 hours for the monitor to warm up or cool down when the monitor is to be used in an environment with a temperature that falls within the specified operating conditions after being stored at the maximum or minimum storage temperature. For more information on operating and storage/transport temperature.
Do not use the monitor after the end of its operational lifespan.
Do not excessively bend the cuff or the air tube.
Do not bend or twist the air tube while taking a measurement. This risks causing injuries due to interruption of blood flow.
To remove the air tube attachment, pull it by grasping the plastic attachment at the base of the tube and not the tube itself.
Use only the AC adapter, cuff, batteries, and accessories specified for this monitor. The use of unsupported AC adapters, cuffs, and batteries can damage and/or expose the monitor to potential risks.
Use only the cuff approved for this monitor. The use of different cuffs can cause incorrect results.
